Terminals by cruise line
Barcelona has seven cruise terminals. Six sit in a row on Moll Adossat, a long quay across the harbour from the city; the public Terminals A, B and C share one row below. The seventh, WTC South, is at the foot of La Rambla and takes smaller ships. Your line's terminal can change from one sailing to the next, so check the letter on your boarding documents.

Hotels the night before
A night in Barcelona before you sail takes the stress out of a morning flight. No hotel we checked runs a cruise shuttle. These three are a walk from the WTC South terminal; for the Adossat terminals, it's a short taxi from any of them. "Check rates" opens the hotel on Booking.com. The other link opens the hotel's own site.

Getting there
Barcelona-El Prat (BCN) is the only airport you need: about 10 miles from the Adossat terminals. Allow 30 to 40 minutes by car. Taxis, Uber, Cabify and Bolt all run it; Holland America estimates about €35. The Aerobús doesn't stop at the port, so you'd change to a taxi or the Cruise Bus in town.

Terminals & cruise lines
Where do cruise ships dock in Barcelona, and which terminal does my line use?
Most ships dock on Moll Adossat, a long quay across the harbour from the city, with Terminals A to E and H in a row. MSC usually uses its own Terminal H. Costa and AIDA mostly use D (Palacruceros) and E (Helix); Holland America says it gets D or E, confirmed the week you sail. Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian use the Adossat quay, often the public Terminals A to C. Smaller ships can berth at the WTC South terminal at the foot of La Rambla. Check the letter on your boarding documents. See the terminals.
What cruise lines sail from Barcelona?
Most of the big ones. The port's 2026 forecast lists ships starting and ending cruises here from Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Virgin Voyages, Viking, Princess, Holland America, Cunard, Disney, Carnival, AIDA, Silversea, Azamara, Oceania and Regent Seven Seas. MSC and Costa ships call all year. Find your terminal.
Is Barcelona closing cruise terminals?
Yes, over the next few years. Under a July 2025 agreement with the city, the port will cut its cruise terminals from seven to five by demolishing A, B and C. A new public terminal for up to 7,000 passengers a day takes their place, with works on the Adossat quay running from 2026 to 2030. See today's terminals.
Where do cruises from Barcelona go?
Around the western Mediterranean. In one October week, the port's own plans show ships arriving from or heading to Marseille, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Nice, Naples, Valletta, Ajaccio, Genoa and Alicante. See the ports.
Hotels
Where to stay in Barcelona before a cruise?
Near Port Vell, at the bottom of La Rambla. No hotel we checked runs a cruise shuttle, and none is a walk from the Adossat quay, 2 to 3.9 km out. From the harbourfront it's a short taxi to any terminal. If your ship uses the WTC South terminal, Eurostars Grand Marina is next door, and Catalonia Port and Duquesa de Cardona are a walk away. See the hotels.
What hotel is closest to the cruise port in Barcelona?
Eurostars Grand Marina. It's inside the World Trade Center on Moll de Barcelona, beside the WTC South terminal. For ships on the Adossat quay, no hotel is within walking distance, so you'll take a taxi whichever you choose. See the hotels.
Parking
How much is parking in Barcelona for a cruise?
Parking Barcelona Port, next to Terminal E, advertises 7 days for €79. The covered WTC Barcelona car park charges €29 for 1 day and €90 for 7 days, then €12.50 for each extra day, VAT included. Compare the car parks.
Where do you park for a cruise from Barcelona?
Not at the terminal: the port lets cars stop only to drop off people and bags. For ships on the Adossat quay, Parking Barcelona Port is the long-stay car park on the quay itself, next to Terminal E. For the WTC South terminal, use the WTC car park, a 2-minute walk. Barcelona's low emission zone applies, so check your car is allowed. See the car parks.
Getting there
How far is Barcelona cruise port from the airport?
About 10 miles by road from Barcelona-El Prat (BCN) to the Adossat terminals, a little more to Terminal H. Holland America says to allow 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Getting there.
How do I get from Barcelona airport to the cruise port?
Taxi or rideshare is simplest: Cabify, Uber and Bolt all run in Barcelona, and Holland America estimates about €35. The Aerobús is cheaper but stops at Plaça d'Espanya and Plaça de Catalunya, not the port. From there you take a taxi, or metro L3 and the Cruise Bus, about an hour in all. Getting there.
Can you walk from Barcelona cruise port to town?
From the WTC South terminal, yes: it's about 400 m from the city. From the Adossat quay it's 2 to 3.9 km, so most people take the Cruise Bus. It costs €3.5 one way or €5 return and drops you by the Columbus Monument at the foot of La Rambla. See the terminals.
Embarkation day
What time should I arrive at the Barcelona cruise terminal?
Your line sets your check-in time, so follow your boarding documents. Plan for the drop-off rule: cars can stop at the terminal only to unload, so the driver then has to park elsewhere. Holland America also says there's no luggage storage at the pier. Parking.
