Terminals & cruise lines
Which terminal does Carnival or Royal Caribbean use at Port Canaveral?
Carnival and Royal Caribbean both use several Port Canaveral terminals, so there is no single answer. The port's schedule for September 2026 to February 2027 puts each of them at Terminals 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10 on different dates, and the same goes for Disney, Norwegian and MSC. The port tells passengers to confirm their terminal with their cruise line, so check your boarding documents. See all six terminals.
What cruise lines sail from Port Canaveral?
Seven cruise lines sail from Port Canaveral, according to the Canaveral Port Authority: Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Disney, MSC, Princess, Celebrity and Norwegian. The port also lists Victory Casino Cruises among its cruise line pages, though not as one of the seven homeport lines. The lines share the port's terminals, and ships move between them from one sailing to the next. The terminal table shows which lines are scheduled where.
Is Port Canaveral the same as Cape Canaveral?
For cruising, yes: Port Canaveral and Cape Canaveral are two names for the same cruise port. The Canaveral Port Authority gives its cruise terminals street addresses in Cape Canaveral, FL 32920, which is why people search both names. The port is on Florida's Space Coast, and its own directions put Orlando International Airport about 45 minutes away. How to get there from each airport.
Where do cruises from Port Canaveral go?
Norwegian says its Port Canaveral cruises are mostly 3- to 5-night Bahamas trips that almost always stop at its private island, Great Stirrup Cay, with many calling at Nassau. It also runs longer Caribbean voyages that can include Cozumel, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Falmouth and Grand Cayman. MSC sails 3, 4 and 7 nights, calling at its private island Ocean Cay. We haven't confirmed the other lines' routes yet. See the ports.
Hotels
Which hotels near the Port Canaveral cruise port have a shuttle or cruise parking?
Four hotels on Astronaut Boulevard say on their own pages that they serve cruise guests. Hampton Inn & Suites Cape Canaveral Cruise Port promotes Go Port packages that include a shuttle to the port. Radisson Resort at the Port sells cruise packages with a round-trip shuttle. Country Inn & Suites sells cruise parking with a $10-a-person shuttle each way, and Residence Inn runs a $12-a-person shuttle each way. Compare the four.
Parking
How much is parking at the Port Canaveral cruise port?
The Canaveral Port Authority charges $20.00 a day plus tax to park at its cruise terminals, counting both the day you arrive and the day you leave, and it takes cards only. Private lots publish lower rates: Port Canaveral Parking from $13.95 a day, Park Port Canaveral $14.95 (its page title says from $12.95), and Port Parking Space $14.95 with a promo code. Lots of Honor posts no rate. Compare the lots.
Where is the best place to park for a cruise out of Port Canaveral?
You can park beside your terminal in the port's own lots and walk in. The port lists garages at Terminals 6, 8 and 10, none for Terminals 1, 3 and 5, and says no shuttle is needed. Private lots nearby run free shuttles: Park Port Canaveral is 1.5 miles away, Port Parking Space is under half a mile from the nearest terminal, and Port Canaveral Parking and Lots of Honor are in Merritt Island. See every lot.
Do you need to reserve parking at Port Canaveral?
No. The Canaveral Port Authority says it doesn't take parking reservations at its cruise terminals: parking is first come, first served, opens at 10 a.m. for embarkation, and you pay by card on arrival. If you want a booked space, the private lots take reservations. Park Port Canaveral books online or by phone, and Port Canaveral Parking refunds you if you don't cruise, minus a $15 card fee. Compare the lots.

Orlando International (MCO) is about 47 miles and 45 minutes away. Orlando Sanford (SFB) is about 67 miles and an hour. All three are inland, so you need a car, shuttle or rideshare from the airport. How to get there.
Is there a shuttle from Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral?
Yes, paid shuttles run from Orlando International to Port Canaveral. Cocoa Beach Express, the port's official ground transportation concessionaire, runs them, and the Radisson Resort at the Port lists its MCO fare as $28 per person one way or $50 round trip. Your cruise line sets your arrival time, so use the one on your boarding pass. Carnival and Royal Caribbean have you choose a slot at check-in, Norwegian asks you not to arrive more than an hour before yours, MSC can turn away late arrivals, and Disney won't let you into the terminal before your Port Arrival Time. Port Canaveral's parking opens at 10 a.m. Parking details.

Yes. The Canaveral Port Authority points cruise guests to The Cove's waterfront restaurants, Jetty Park's beach, fishing pier and campground, and the Cocoa Beach Pier, which it calls a short drive away.
