Terminals by cruise line

Vancouver has one cruise terminal: Canada Place, the white sails on the downtown waterfront. Every line that sails from Vancouver uses it, and it can berth four ships at once. You clear U.S. customs inside the terminal before you board, so leave time for that.

Ports you'll visit from Vancouver

Vancouver is Alaska's gateway: the port says it's the only homeport with both one-way and round-trip cruises through Canada's Inside Passage. Holland America's 7-day round trip, for one, calls at Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan and cruises Glacier Bay.

Quick answers

How we checked these answers

Every answer is built from facts we checked against the sources below and cross-checked with recent port guides. Where sources disagreed, the answer says so instead of guessing a number.

Terminals & cruise lines

Where do cruise ships dock in Vancouver?

Cruise ships in Vancouver dock at the Canada Place cruise terminal, 999 Canada Place, on the downtown waterfront under the white sails. The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority runs it; it has three berths and can take four ships at once. Every line that sails from Vancouver uses it. See the terminal.

Which cruise lines depart from Vancouver, BC?

About 20 cruise lines sail from Vancouver's Canada Place, the Port of Vancouver says, including Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Celebrity, Disney, Cunard, Oceania, Regent Seven Seas, Seabourn, Silversea and Viking. Holland America's 7-day round trip, for example, calls at Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, with scenic cruising in Tracy Arm and Glacier Bay. See the ports.

Do I clear US customs in Vancouver before my cruise?

Yes: everyone boarding at Canada Place clears U.S. Customs and Border Protection inside the Vancouver terminal, because the ship counts as U.S. jurisdiction. It's the last step after bag drop, check-in and security. International visitors need their ETA or ESTA sorted before they arrive.

Neither runs a shuttle, since both are steps from the terminal. Compare hotels.

Two of them, the Pan Pacific and Fairmont Waterfront, sell packages that take your bags to the ship. See the hotels.
